the bass speaker isnt working , have to tear it open and poke around today , but it turned out to be more than i had expected . it had a green led on the amp , i cut that out , mounted my only blue led on the top , it worked for about 10 min , then flickered out . turns out the amp is not putting power out for the led anymore ! i hope i didnt fry that channel on the amp . . .
rerouted the power for the led off the switch for a tone module , but it was too high and my fancy blue led popped !
i guess i shoulda cut in a resistor on that line , what value though . i may end up cutting em in , one for the amp , and one for each tone module so you can see which ones are running quick .
have to find out the resister value though .
silly . i never woulda thought a different led would pop the amp circuit , but , , ,
this thing is a dual (2) stepped tone generator , with a moded echo circuit and 5 optical controls , it has pots too , you can switch from pot to cds mode . the echo has the option to control the delay time with a cds too , if you cover it with your hand the circuit "crashs" makes these awesome sounds . i may put in a power starve mode to , when you go with low lotages it freaks out .
i was thinking of calling it "the lease violator" but went with TBI instead . actually this build was nothing compared to the metal amp , that was a challenge , and a half ! talk about spagetti , . . .
