Hi, I have just purchased a used Maniac guitar amp, it works fine except it has a constant background humm, even with nothing plugged into it. Any ideas on what could be the problem, even better how to fix it? Thanks in advance...

Thanks Dave, no mine is worse than that one, think i will take it to local electrical shop to get checked out, may just be a worn capacitor or dry solder joints...
How bad is the humm? I checked out youtube and if the amp is the same as the one demonstrated that also seems to have a slight humm (although it could be the recording) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQeMu8p-Ee8
One good thing though is the person realised the microphone socket has a delay on it that you can use for a guitar effect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vle5nNoAQyw
