10 th anual CBG fest in Huntsville, AL
We had a great time at the 10th cbg fest in Huntsville,Al. this time with a billing of the likes of John Nickles and Pat Nickles, April Mae and the June Bugs, Justin Johnson, Hymn for Her, and Ben Prestage, Matt Crunk, Johnny Lowebow, and Earl (guitar Man) Williams. I just wish it could have been 2 days of music, but thats just me. Our very own CB Gitty was ther to wittiness the going ons! We thank him very much for his support. Well, I am new to this site and this group. I can already see that there are some really talented builders/players here. Hope to meet some or all of you, I live in Dothan and I build things, guitars, dulcimers, etc. Just finished my first CBG! I will try soon to get a photo up on this site. Thanks to all for your help and leadership.

Artist Market featuring CBG craftsmen, instruments and components (noon -6pm)
Workshops:
12:30 & 2pm: Build Your Own One String CBG with STEVE WEBB ($30 including materials and use of tools)
1pm & 3pm: Learn to play the cigar box guitar with PAT NICKEL (practice instruments provided / limited seating / free)
1pm & 3pm: Build a CBG Demonstration with JOHN NICKEL
1:30 & 3:30pm: Intermediate slide cigar box guitar class with JUSTIN JOHNSON (bring your own instrument)
12:30 & 2:30pm: "Songs Inside the Box" documentary film by MAX SHORES

Just built my first CBG bought a kit form the good folks at Nick Cigar Box Guitars.
John was very helpful and always ready to answer a question when i called, Enjoyed it so much i 'm already working on another one and two small scale for grand kids.
