thank you very much for the comment ramon. i wasn't able to find some decent pictures since those were built a long time ago but... hope these help.
basically i glued small blocks of 1" x 2" (actual size is 3/4" x 1 1/2") wood beneath the lid (ignore the small holes on the blocks)... between the neck and humbucker routing (picture 1).
then, i glued a big block of the same size upon those little blocks... about 6" wide... then i did the holes for the neck bolts as seen on picture 2.
it worked pretty well for me. i found out that using 1 1/2" x 3/4" would give the neck the perfect height on top of the lid... just like a regular guitar.
the box should be at least 2" deep and the lid about 1/4" thick.
Great job! They are so beautiful. I'm getting ready to build by 6 strings CBG but the only thing that is holding me from doing it is that I have no idea on how to attach the neck to the box. The box's sides are not strong enough to hold the string tension. I have an electric guitar neck in a very good shape and most important, straight. Any advice will be greatly appreciated my friend.

really nice guitars, can I ask what 'hardware' you used in terms of sound amplification?
