What's good everyone
I'm looking to start my first 6 string CBG. Wondering what is a proper size to use for this build. I wanted a good size cause I'm not a fan of small cigar boxes for 6 stringers, maybe fine for 3 stringers but not proportioned for a 6 stringer.
Can you give me your thoughts on what size is the boxes you have used in the past?
Thanks,
If I can't find the box size I might end up just building my own box like I did for my CBU builds.

I use the Ditka throwback boxes and a Cohiba Gigante that are 15"+.But also made a short scale out of a mini strat w/ an MC box thats 11".The key is you want to hide or place your neck plate in its proper spot.
Theres ones on ebay that look like someone took a cheap strat copy to a table saw, then stuck it in a box.

24 1/2" (what i usually use) scale length you'll need a box atleast 12" long,
you can just make a longer neck for shorter boxes.
I've built a few 6 strings, electric, electric/acoustic, and classical.
12 x 8 is a size I like, but I've built a 14x8.5 box in one case, and used a 10 x 7.5 cigar box for the classical.

Is this going to be an acoustic instrument?
