Hello All,
I'm finishing up a gas can guitar. It has a Tele style set up, except, instead of a neck pickup, I installed a piezo disc .
THE PROBLEM- I'm using a standard wiring set-up, but the piezo stays on at every setting on the three way. At first I thought there was too much metal touching,so I insulated. Did'nt help.
Possible the piezo has too much out put for that switch???
I've done this schematic on dozens of solidbodys, and never had this problem. What am I missing?
If I disconnect the piezo...the switch works as it should ( ie bridge and middle positions). I'm plain stumped.

I'm pleased as punch that I was able to help...cheers
Presuming that the harness (pickups and switch) are wired correctly, if you're getting the piezo signal on all switch settings, then the switch is bad. Doesn't matter how much or little output you get from the piezo. Think of a simple light switch on your wall. It always has power to it. But if it is switched off, the light is off...if switched on, light is on. The principle is the same.
Sure as hell, the switch was bad out of the package. Guess I ignored the obvious.
