Yeah, making your own is kewl; I do, and have done in the past, la fair number of same for my own use / amusemment. I guess what I was getting at is that maybe if you, or anyone else, have a nice design, other people might like it, too, and might wanna purchase it. Suppose we could collect these designs, put 'em in the Store, then take advance orders?
Sorry, I meant T-shirt design contest; but you knew that ;-). Figured you mighta tried this before. Maybe you could do "advance" JIT ordering; pretty sure there are online places that will do orders of 10 or so at a time, relatively cheap. You probably have explored this already, too. My wife does this with Girl Scout campout theme Tees for her troop. She gets the money in advance (usually), then places the order.
What I was thinking is that you can have the DESIGNS available in the store, but keep the actual inventory low.
I'm all out right now. Hope to restock the store eventually...
Shane,
realize you're busy with the new day gig, and the new book promo ( I advance ordered one for delivery to my MIL's when I come home for Christmas this year - looks like you and Mike did a great job!), but got to thinking:
What about holding a CBG design contest for CBN members? There are a bunch of talented builder / artistes here who might enjoy this kinda thing ( OK, I admit I have a couple ideas already...). Have the design competition last for 1 month, have voting last for 1 month, select the top 10 or 12 designs by vote (ooo, 1 design per month, year-round CBGs, something like that, then put 'em in the store), have 'em advance ordered like the book so you don't get stuck with unsold merchant, maybe get 'em printed up by Christmas?
Just thinkin' out loud here, and sorry to hijack the thread,

Dunno.

I've done that before. It's a good idea. I just don't want to hype a shirt if I don't have the cash to get a ton printed first.
Also, look for a revamped Nation store soon. Lots more good stuff coming...

It would be a bit nice to have some shirts that are more generic CBG rather then always promoting a web site...
