On Friday Wes Yates stopped by to chat a bit and we had some fun talkin bout da "biz"
Saturday Diane from Chicago stopped by to chew the fat and talk shop for a while.Diane came in baring gifts for this old fart and gave me a beautiful Uke that she built.Using a square tin box adorned with flowers and her trademark fretted short neck she built a great piece that I now treasure.
I wasnt able to spend anywhere near as much time with either as I wanted to, but they knew that while I'm at the shop I'm also on the clock working for the Mall itself. So I spend my day flying In the door for a while and then flying back out the door to take care of Mall business. It makes for a very busy, sometimes stressful day but thats what I do.
I hope that I get to meet more of the Nation folks in the future because its fun trading info back and forth and talking to someone thats been there.
Thanks guys for stopping in and come back anytime!!!!!!!!!!!

But I don't know if you can count those members you meet in York on your life list, like birdwatchers do. You have to hunt them down in their natural habitat. ;-)

I also got to meet Richard Sanabia over in Tellico Plains and swapped instruments with him, as well!
And three weeks earlier, I met Travis Woodall in Jonesborough, TN.

Diane was there?!?!? Damn, I should have given you my phone number. That would have been a time for sure. I hit a Little River with my fly rod and had some success. Summer there is good.
Oh and Roger, The family is thinking of making it up to Gburg/PF during Christmas. Might see you again... where ever you are.
Cheers!

On the lowest level is a water fountain that I designed that splashes water and makes too much noise that the tourists seem to enjoy taking pictures of , plus other things to see and learn about the building itself and some history of Gatlinburg.
Ya'll come see us.
