As a bonafide Ozarkian who comes from a long line of appalachian hill billies, there's something about some real thumping bluegrass that feeds the soul. Yo-Yo Ma (believe it or not), Chris Thile and some other guys collaborated for this album and I thought this particular song was absolutely fantastic...

I'm really glad people enjoyed it as much as I did. Due to a recent layoff, its hard to justify buying albums, but as soon as I can I'm going to pick it up.

Full circle - Classical instruments originated as Folk instruments, Classical music comes from Folk music songs so it is not really surprising that this ensemble's Bluegrass music works so well, amazing performance! ***** (-:

I remember as a young lad just sittin around a campfire and jammin. Someone would start a riff and we all would just layer our sounds into it. Man that was some of the best times`s i had. Thx for posting this and bringing back some great memories.

Yep, that's it. I should have mentioned it in the first post.

Also, for those who thought the same thing I did, that odd looking, fretted, 6 string violin that Thile is playing at the beginning is a Viol, or "Viola de Gamba". I wouldn't mind trying to make a CBG variant...

Thanks for sharing. "Attaboy" was actually a free Starbucks download a couple of weeks ago. Definitely didn't expect to see Thile staring back at me on the register.
