amp cab i made from an old 1940/50's draw, speaker is an old FANE 15 ohm, amp is a simple lm386 with a 9v battery, i added a gain control too, i stained and waxed it, sound's quite nice ,

I'll bet that sounds great. I like the way you cut the back of the amp for the magnet. Cool idea. I'd like to see a wiring diagram. It looks like you did a very simple rendition. Just the IC and a couple capacitors from what I can see.

Poorness, it's just a very basic lm386 circuit, with a 10k pot for gain control and a 47k cap for smoothing the dc supply, there is no buzz or any other noise induced with this simple circuit,

That’s a nice speaker, those Fane speakers fetch some good money! I like your cab, it’s quite interesting!!

  1. Good job! Looks awesome, how does it sound?

hooch, i'll post a little video tomorrow,

a bit late but here's how it sound's,

LM386 makes a great low power amp. Surprisingly loud with the right speaker. Your build is also a lovely piece of furniture into the bargain.

I like the way the cab is finished.

thank's all for the nice reply's,
