Reccomend me some music

Hi, help me out here. I need some inspiration to expand myself with my "Tin junkitar". I've burned down the few blues riffs I can come up with. I like a lot this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-nSPVZuKwI (Ain't no easy way by Black Rebel Motorcycle club). So I guess I've an appetite towards "raunchy country-bluessy-souly-rock". Actually I have no idea what I really want. I just know I need to listen to more stuff. I feel like when I was 12 and discovered punk and Heavy Metal. Thanks

  • hmmm... seems like a playing discussion and not a building discussion. why don't people read the forum labels?

  • come on over and check the music player at WCBN you will find music from many of the people who make music here at the nation. when you find a sound you like you can click on the name in the added by column and link right to that persons page to check out other songs they have on their player.

    happy listening.

    cheers

    • Where is this wcbn music player?
  • Anyone knows about an online radio like Pandora?
They blocked non US users a while ago, and I can't think of a better place to find all this music.

    Any Ideas?
  • One name for you........Hollowbelly.........love his stuff, he is by far the one that got me started into wanted to sing and play music at the same time in this sort of music. Once you dive into the new stuff, you will find yourself swiming around in the older stuff. You know what they say...."The blues are the roots, the rest are the fruits."
  • Can't go wrong with Houndog Taylor...

  • Thanks to all of you,
According to Murphy's Law, today my soundcard had to stop working, so I can't listen to any of these on youtube right now. But as soon as I get home...

@Keni, I did watch some of your videos a while ago while getting ideas to build my junkitar. Pretty cool stuff. I'll check them again now that I have the instrument.

Old school, contemporary, blues, bluegrass, experimental... etc..
    Keep them coming.
  • Oh I forgot to mention Keni Lee is a slide master too :)
