Hi yo all,

I'm wondering if any of our member's play their cbg as a lap slide steel guitar.  I have ordered a cbg to be set up as a lap steel ie strings raised to accommodate tonal bar, as I'm unable to play a standard guitar due to wrist problems, if any member can give me some clues on how to go about playing my cbg (slide) I would appreciate any info. Thanks Ranatus

  • A tidbit I picked up while trying to get a free slide lesson from a Nashville studio player.

He was playing a standard setup guitar in standard tuning but using a slide. Said that's fine on stage, but in the studio where accuracy is everything he would lay the guitar on his lap.

    • Great information thank you for your reply  Ranatus

  • I can't tell if this is a CBG, but let's just say it is.

    • smokingggg!!! I enjoyed that thanks  Ranatus
