    So assuming you no longer have the original pickup, it looks like a P-90 would make a good low cost substitute.

    If you do have the original, it can be rewound for not that much money (under $100).

  • I read that SD Pickups did a reissue of the P13. You might check them out at SD Pickups

  • Is the original pickup missing? If it is there, but not working, it might be best to have it rebuilt. It's basically wire, steel and magnets and there are plenty of folks that rewind them.That would keep you original in your restoration.
