I ve recently gotten into cbgs and i have a box (ceder a. fuente), strings, tuning pegs(gold grover imperials :) ), an output jack, and possibly a neck.
I have a few concerns with the build:
- Is a long(3-4ft.) 1x3 pine good for a neck
- Is the box i have big enough(7 3/16 x 7 1/4 x 2 5/8)
- What kind of piezo should i use
I plan on possibliby starting the build tonite so a quick reply would be helpful

When I built my 1st one, I found myself figuring out what I was going to change on the next one before I even figured out that I was going to build a next one.
Its addictive!
It seems to me like I learn something on every build, and I've built over 300 of these things so far.
You'll find that boxes react differently ,wood thickness makes a huge difference. You'll also learn how to get around problem builds so you can still use "problem" boxes .
Its a fun hobby, have fun and dont sweat the small stuff.
Should be. Keep in mind that pine is soft wood and might bend but not my much. 3- string is what I would do. Might want to make it a 1x2 (1x1/5).
2. Is the box i have big enough(7 3/16 x 7 1/4 x 2 5/8)
Sounds fine to me.
3. What kind of piezo should i use

ALSO download the free plans from the Free Resources menu above. Brian Lemin has a good set.
