I wouldn't mind jamming along with a group of people on CBGs but the chances of it happening are even more remote than finding a mandolin player. People don't quite get the fact that it's a guitar until I play it. They kind of look at a CBG and wonder where the other 3 strings are. 

Just for laughs I was going to take it along to my local community centre guitar lessons workshop just to see whatthe teacher would say.

In here some threads get missed out and bypassed, some go on for days weeks months.

I'm still rooting for ya. We have a once a month get together here. LOADS of fun. Builders and players of all levels. Don't give up hope. Keep at it. Worth the effort.

Don't give up!!   I'd be there in a heartbeat, were I close enough!  I plan on starting up selling at festivals and fairs and such.  I'm going to get an email from anyone that buys one, so I can organize the occasional jam.
