I'm working a new guit with a very small Punch box. Because of the small size I was thinking of doing a one or two stringer. Any suggestions on which strings to use?

You could build a 2 string Diddley Bow with octave strings. Refer to a pack of "12 string guitar" strings. Pick any pair (lower strings might be better - E, A, D) and tune to the same note. Enjoy, Keni Lee
Using acoustic guitar strings is recommended by Shane Speal, the King of the Cigar Box Guitar, and I’m not one to argue with the king. He uses John Pearse acoustic guitar strings, gauged .045, .035, .026.

My Double D was also with a smaller Punch Box.
I found this info elsewhere on this site:
