Neck mortising jig
Just finished building the jig to try my first mortise (and bolt just to be sure) joint. If anyone's interested in following this little adventure, let me know and I'll post the whole step-by-step once the deed is done. Or I explode a box. That could be entertaining too.

    Looks like an interesting fixture. Will be cool to see what it does and how it works?
    • Thanks for your interest David! It's actually a lower-tech approach to the standard mortise routing jig that usually secures the body while passing the router over it. In this case, I built that sled to push the box over my router taking special care with that technique to be sure. Right now I'm waiting on some small parts to rig up that bench top you see to my Harbor Freight folding workstand to make a dedicated router table for this operation.
