Don't be too harsh on me, folks. I'm an adult beginner on this thing.
It should be noted, I was a drummer for many, many years...a shoulder injury kinda ended that though. Prior to buying this CBG, and it's arrival at my doorstep this past Wednesday, I haven't touched a musical instrument at all since I put the drumsticks down in the fall of 1992. My only other brush with a stringed instrument occurred in 1987 - a friend lent me his 4001 Rickenbacher bass to "play around" on while I was recuperating from a bad case of mononucleosis. So honestly, I haven't touched a stringed instrument since 1987.
Anyway, my builder, Keith Crumbley of Crumbley Caster Cigar Box Guitars, and Jim Morris here on the forum, asked me to make a video...so here it is...my first. This is what an adult beginner CBG player sounds like after only playing for 4 days...

Brilliant :-) I've just started too, you're doing better than me!
You should check out Justin Johnson's 3-String CBG DVD. He also has one for slide as well. They've been a big help on my end.
It's been fun following Bear's progress from his early posts to later ones. (I'm talkin' about you Ol'Grey) I think you need to post this on the main page and then do once a week progress videos so we can all see how it's going. I believe you'll get nothing but support and useful comments.
Thanks, Jim.
I agree with Jim, Snuffy. The amount of encouragement and kind words I've had from the members here really does spur one onwards. If you feel up to it then I too think you should add this to the videos section of CBN.
Done! Just added it to the video section here. Thanks Bear!
;-)
They haven't seen the monster yet....LOL.
Wait til they see Frankenswamp!

Solid job Snuffy. Seems you're picking up the skills like a natural. Keep at it and keep sharing the videos!
Will do! Thanks!!!
