Finished this tonight. I definitely learned a bunch building this that I didn't learn in all my other "regular" guitar builds. Tons of fun and it works. Probably needs a little time to "settle" & a bit of tweeking. But it's my baby!

BTW..thanks to a couple advertisers here for their help with parts & such. C.B. Gitty & Back Porch Mojo....Thanks!

  • It would be funny to buy that other suitcase to hold the CBG, cut a hole in it for the neck, and secure it inside. Then at a performance you could walk out carrying the whole thing, unsnap it, and reveal the real CBG inside. It would be hilarious. ;)

Nice job like it. Guess you'll need a case for it?. lol

The store I got it from had another case about 2-1/2 times larger. I'm seriously thinking amplifier to match.

  • Like the look of this guitar loads! Good job xD
  • I remember you buying that suitcase and wondering if it would work as a CBG. I guess it did! That's such a cool and original idea. I want to build one myself. When it gets settled, I'm sure we would all like to hear it. Send us some audio, Todd.
  • Looks really cool, different than a cigar box, but just as neat. Nice job.
