The UK Guardian newspaper says the Motorhead Youtube channel is streaming Lemmy's funeral on Saturday at 11pm - I assume that's UK time
Thanks for the heads up Denis U ... Just double checked - You're right 11 - 12.30 pm GMT
Is there a link anywhere to download the album with the songs in mp3 format, instead of just streaming it?
I started the tribute album a few years ago on the nation .
I produced the album with contributions from around the world .
As far as not commenting , I for one will miss Lemmy greatly having posted on my Facebook wall about his untimely death .
Shane was to busy at the time to contribute but a few more messages to other like minded people created the album .
I have slowpaw Steve to thank for the montage on you tube which he kindly did for me .
The album cover is not the one above but I am intending on re isuing it on here in its correct album cover .
Lemmy was one of my heroes and always will be .
If any of you would like a download I will be putting it up on my www.justplaytheblues.co.uk website next week .
Lemmy did get a copy of it and I'm sure he played it .
Met him and told him personally about the album he was as usual equivicle in his response .
Hi Ian,
Apologies for my ignorance. I'm newish to the Nation (& don't Facebook as yet) . It's nice to see a real fan of the man decided to compile a tribute to him BEFORE he died, as usually in the mass media it's usually the reverse. It must have been wicked to meet him !
Just been checking out your page: The Motorhead CBG is excellent by the way. Looks like real quality woods and workmanship. The detailed pyrography front & back is awesome !
Cheers mate,
Shaun aka Bristol Blue
Hi Shaun
Many thanks for your kind words.
All my builds are on my Facebook page just play the blues and on my website as well.
It was great fun doing the album with so many willing people from all over the world.
Friend me on here and on Facebook and you won't miss a thing.
Happy New Year
Yes will do Ian .
Although I'm mid 40's , I only got a lap top a month ago and my kids bought me a smartphone for Xmas. Modern technology man! Very confused by it all, very overwhelming , can't believe it myself how long I managed to avoid all this stuff outside of the workplace LOL !
Happy New Year to you too .
Thanks Shane , Nice of you to re-issue this tribute album. I said my goodbye to Lemmy on Smojos "The Brits Are Coming" comment wall about 17 hours ago and I am frankly stunned none of the other 565 Brits have commented.
Lemmy might have resided in the USA for years but he was always a great British eccentric in my humble opinion . A great, unique musician and a good, honest bloke. If he was to hear me saying this aloud he'd most likely say "shut the fuck up" because his modesty always came across and he didn't let fame turn him into a dickhead.
RIP Lemmy !!
The best to do for you Lemmy, listen to your music's. Live to win. RIP Lemmy!
