I've been kicking around the idea of building or buying a Looper but don't have a clue on brand or price. I would 'like' a 2 or 3 channel minimum 3 min recording, entry- mid level. I see lots of them for sale on eBay and marketplace ranging from $20s upwards in the hundreds. What should I look for in brand/model, price and performance? If it's used and for sale for a reason. I'm not a pro and never will be!

I have an EHX 700 looper (they're about $150 new). I used it to make the video below. I like it but I'd advise everyone to try before you buy. I've know several folks who think a looper is going to make their dreams come true, then they buy it only to find out that's not what they wanted. It sounds like you're not in that category, but still... I wanted to mention it. If there's a Guitar Center or another big store near you, it might not hurt to try them out.

Wow! You got all of that out of one string, impressive! You're right I have NO delusions of being great. Hell I'd be happy with average. Is each one of your pedals a different brand Looper or are they switching units. I'm just poking around to satisfy my curiosity and possibly play around with without going overboard on price. Thanks for sharing the video.
Anybody know anything about This looper ?
They have plenty of mics for phones/tablets these days? I,ve seen them as small as an earbud, they usually plug into earphones jack? Not all of them need an interface, but a lot of them have them built inside? And yes they make them for every format? iOS android, etc.
If you want to dabble and have an iPad there is an app called loopy. Jimmy Fallon used it on his show with Billy Joel, you can see it on YouTube
dont you need an interface device like an iRig to get sound into and out of the ipad?
Probably suppose to but I just used the mic for messing around.
Is there anything for Android or windows7?
It's the Cadillac.Been looping for 1o years. I'm def a boss fan ,tho have had evry Boss looper since The RC 20.I got a deal on this one for 250$.They run about 500 ,but I've seen deals on EBay. TC Electronics is ok ,but this will loop for days, save it,It has downloadable beats ,whole songs and killer sound. . I prefer one with beats .Some people say that canned beats are impersonal ,but if the music grooves,it grooves.. If you want to loop multiple instrument ,you want want to get a lil cheap Behringer mixer .Most loopers don't have multiple inputs. good luck in yer search .Lemmee know if you have any questions...cheers
Wow! I watched a few videos on using this baby for layering( if that's the term) up the music.
