I ran across this video just now which I thought some people here may be inspired by. It's a computer animation of a music machine called a 'resonant chamber'.

Here's the link: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTY5MDM2MDg0.html

Maybe something we could team up and build on CBN in the year 2050.

  • Apparently the Animusic folks have a couple DVDs worth of similar animated music videos, some of which are on youkou.com, and I assume, Youtube. These song titles might help you on your search on Youtube.

  • Although the Youku vids are VERY slow to load for me for some reason, that was worth a look. Very interesting how the creator visually interpreted how to make the various sounds. (Notes, slides and so forth.) I think Scott Winburn is probably building one of those instruments as we speak.

The next link in que was also interesting. Well to me anyway. I found it on youtube which loads much faster:

  • I used Google to search on 'Pat Metheney' and found that he has a 42-Stringer called a Pikasso guitar shown here:

Pat Metheny calls it a 42 string guitar, avoiding the name it's creator gave it ("Pikasso"). I wonder why?

  • Hi Huntz.

Probably the original video is on Youtube, but China (where I live) has banned all foreign video hosting sites, and allows only local ones like youku.com. This means I can't see any of the videos unless the video is hosted on this site (www.cigarboxnation.com), or perhaps a Chinese video hosting site. Tons of good CBG videos and other videos are not available to me:-(   Or, they aren't until I travel out of China. I can't verify what you showed me is the same video or not, either.
