also this is done with no actual guitar parts: the frets are finishing nails, and the tuners are 1/4-20 screws It needs a wrench to turn the coupler nut to tune the guitar.

      I saw the tuners on a random surf from google, that was, ahh, instrumental, in inspiring me to build the guitar. (all puns intended.)   The real trick was to wax the 1/4-20 thumb screw with surfboard wax.  those "tuners" are really tight and smooth now.  the guitar holds a tune for days.  The string retainer started off as just a zip tie, then the dremel cut the semi-circle so the string could duck under the zip tie, and then I saw the binding wire and felt it was a better look.
