Due to differences of opinion, this week I moved my operaton from the Craftshop where I was selling to another shop just across the hall.Though I'll have less room sharing the same space with the fella that USED to be my competitor I think it'll work out just fine.
Dollar wise I got a better deal on the space plus a fella that will actually work at selling my product when I'm not there.Next week I plan to paint the outside of the shop to catch the eye better etc.
We'll be making changes designed to catch the customers eye better and SOONER as they come down the hall, plus other changes to add more business for his product and mine.
The MALL"S manager ( my real boss) wants to go in another direction that I dont think will work so I didnt want to be involved in the new setup.
No big fight just different points of view.
I moved Tues, and wound up selling product while trying to move at the same time.My sales (so far) hasnt suffered so we'll just see how it goes,,,,,,,

Update on my new space.I got semi -settled in friday,so I've only worked the "shop" off and on since that time.Sat.this week was a wash as usual due to Halloween crowds in the building and I needed to be on the floor keeping order in the whole Mall.
But so far I've sold 5 pieces fri and today (Sun) and a few of those I wasnt even out of bed yet.I think this new move will work out ok.I needed to slow down some and still be able to make some money.I dont know if slowing down is going to be an option yet but ,we'll see .
Any of ya"ll coming down this way look me up and I promise I'll not try to sell you somethin !
I like meeting folks that like to play boxes too!
Like a lot of us here in the forum I'm always looking for nice boxes.I envey you guys that are able to make the scores on nice boxes as often as you do.
thats actualy really cool i have know people that struggled for years trying to get there buisiness up and going congrates so far and hope the best for the future.
Before the economy tanked we averaged 1.3 million folks a year coming thru our mall doors.
Thats 1 reason my numbers are fairly high, a LOT of people walk by the door of the shop.
I've been greatly over working the last 6 or 7 months and its hurt my health a bit so if I can slow down some it wont bother me.I had been thinking about cutting my demo hours in the shop some anyway. My Doc is trying to find out why my right leg goes numb sometimes,so slowing down is probably the right thing at this point.
This whole operation just snowballed on me when I got it started. It got out of control quickly and instead of just building a certain amount and selling I tried to keep up and stay just ahead, and the truth is , I couldnt do it lol
But I must confess though its fun when people buy my product when just a few minutes before, they walked in the door they had never heard of a Didly Bo or a CBG.
