So, that eBay place from Istanbul where I got my bridge from added a few items. One of them being this:
I figure I'm going to wait a bit to master the craft before attempting to use that thing, but man... My dream CBG box is right there.

Sean, That box looks like something you could make yourself, if you can make a working CBG, and you have than you can make that box. Give it a try.
i've bought one of his bodies for my crazy coven build .. i obviously heavily modified it and added a ton of silly stuff , .. but ... anyway .
a point worth noting ,- the body is very thin .. close to the size/ depth of the pickups ,, hence i bolted my pickups right to the bottom and made a neck support along the back .
you could raise the pups and neck and bridge to get around this (as your problem in your current build ) but still it would seem a pretty thin neck cut in .. unless you had thin pups . or a really high bridge / neck etc ..
you could also get around it all with some bracing etc ..
his bodies are geared to his pickups he says, .. which still seems to be the same depth , so you can scratch your head on that one as i did . lol.
you also have to cut a notch for the neck , without farking up the thin top / bottom and lammed side wall.
all and all he does great work , and the bodies are perfect for the proper specific build they were intended for .... which i'm honestly still not sure what it is lol ;-)
anyway ,, here's my beast .
