Hello all! Haven't been around much as I am in the middle of a build. I took Scott's advise and put together a cool 3 piece laminated neck. It's maple with a 1/4" strip of oak sandwiched so it has a cool stripe down the middle. Nice idea Scott! Anyway,, I'm thinking about using the hard tail bridge but not sure how to mount it. Im thinking it will need some sort brace on the backside of the lid to screw into? Or will it be ok just screwed into the lid? I know the strings go all the way through the box and neck so I don't guess string tension is a problem. Any one tried one of these yet?

If you are doing a neck-thru then just run the screws for the hardtail right into the neck. I've done several this way.
Brace it. And if you can find them, try to use a hard tail bridge that is top loading so you don't have to run the strings through the body.
That's what I was thinking. It would take away from the cog look. I am making it a mag electric though.
