Guitar of the Day

Shane, that's one fine-looking axe. Back when I started fooling with music in the mid-70s, we hung out at a local club that had an open-mic policy and we had all sorts of fine musicians come in. We had quite a lively "gypsy" music scene, with an excellent balalaika player and one of his students, a Greek bouzouki player, etc, etc. Most folks are not familiar with how much music you can make on this sort of instrument; Roy Clark said that one of the best pickers he ever saw was a Russian guy who played a three-stringed instrument.
