  • Ok the reason i asked is because i bought these for a build. as you can see Gitty recommends them.  I thought the high G needed to be tuned an octave above the D  ... to a high G which make playing tunes on the the middle and high string difficult.  today i tuned down that High G to the octave range of the middle D somewhat slack stringing it but it sounds very good is that what you need to do these because having that G an octave range higher then the D sure did not work well... am i making any sense???

  • .042/.032/.022 is my usual GDg choice, but I sometimes use .036/.026/.017 when Guitar Center has Ernie Ball regular Slinky's one sale (3 sets for $10.00).

  • The A string tuned down to G, D & G string as is. What I often used for 3 string in the past with great results.
