Maureen also asked me to write out a special thanks to everyone here at CBN thanking each of you for your support. It's meant a lot to her to see how much Dan was loved. I was there and took the picture as he opened the guitar that was auctioned for and then gifted to him. It was much appreciated. I know that Maureen was especially comforted seeing all the love poured out for her husband. Though I've just been a lurker here for many years, I want to thank everyone for the boost you gave both of them.
Since this is also my first/intro I'll just say I'm a good friend of Dan's and introduced him to Shane & CBGs way back when. You can read more here, if you are interested. I spent a week at Dan's house in May. Dan and I worked on one last build together. I'll be turning it into a full tutorial post at some point as I have all the pics of us along the way. It's actually my first build and the last guitar that Dan worked on. The box was carved by a friend of his in England, a member here I suspect. Dan had seen how much I loved it and gave it to me last year. It still needed to be glued when I had to fly back home. So there's a little more work to be done on it. Here are a couple pics from near the end of that build..

I'll be there
More than sad, Dan gave a lot of himself to others, thanks Brian, and the guitar i'm sure will be a great remembrance
Great post / tribute / and info share . i really miss Dan , and still stuck in disbelief .
We miss Dan already.
Thanks Brian for a touching tribute here and on your Facebook page. I've known Iggy since the very early CBG days (I'm member # 1 here). He was a great guy and will be missed by many folks worldwide.
R.I.P. Dan - happy trails...
