6-String Turbo Diddley 'Winchester'. Custom made resonator guitar by Master Luthier, Kurt Schoen of http://www.schoenguitars.com . This resonator was made out of an old Winchester shotgun shell ammo box from the 50's. The box was planed down for maximum tonality and resonance. Also, proper bracing was applied on the inside top, back and sides. The cone is a hand-spun aluminium proprietary cone. The biscuit is made of 400 to 600 year old douglas fir and the saddle is made of 800+ year old maple. The neck is custom made of mahogany, fretboard is made of high quality Rosewood... and the binding is made of Ebony from the Gibson factory. The fretboard is slightly radiused. This makes it very easy to play both chords and slide guitar. The tuners are beautiful classic grovers. There is also a high quality B-Band pickup installed. Sounds really good too. Email me for more info, pics and an .mp3 sound file. Oh yeah... this guitar was featured in the Winter 08 (Issue 12) of 'The Fretboard Journal'. Check it out...
