Elmar's new Flatpups look so cool, i tested one against a previous exposed copper wire version i have tried and tested live and in the studio, a little worse for wear but working perfectly! . I attached the  pickup to the guitar temporarily with tape for the test, it sounded very much the same except a teeny bit "middy" as it was placed nearer to the bridge, there was a slight crackle on clean but will test it later in a more permanent situation.

SOUND TESTS - used phrases from two of my own songs.

I did clean (Marshall ASD50D) and dirty (Orange Tiny Terror/Marshall) tests with the above guitar, see what you think! (-:

  • I like.I could tell the difference in all. Good Job,

  • thanks for the comparison test Steve! I can't notice any difference, although in my perception the brass Flatpup sounds less harsh. Anyway, just a personal interpretation. In any case I'm glad it works fine :-)

    • there was a little crackling when the pickup was driven hard, but will test it when it and the jack is properly secured to the guitar, but overall very little difference - nice one, Elmar! (-:

  • thanks Sean, great  pickups you should try them! (-:
