Hello everyone. I'm very happy to be starting my first cbg build, and to have a group I can come to for help. I purchased a few items from cbgitty the other day and want to find out where to make a modification to one of products I bought. The prewired 4-string single coil pickup harness.

My question is which wire do I splice to add a spst toggle switch. 3A at 125vac. Or will that switch even work.

I had thought about hiding a speaker behind the sound hole(s), and rigging up a power cord but I'll save that for a later build. For now I'm just hoping I can get a playable cbg on my first build. The only big problem is deciding which few ideas to use on this project out of the 10,000,000 ideas I have in my head.
Honestly, I just found an on off toggle switch that's looks really cool and want to make it part of the build. I'm only using the one pickup, so yeah it's just for the whole harness. More esthetic than anything else.
what is the purpose of the switch? Are you adding a second pickup and wish to have options (neck pup/neck & bridge/bridge) or is it just for on/off for the whole harness? If this is true, look at the wiring group for specific diagrams for the harness design to see where switch is added.
If the latter, and you wish to change from acoustic to electric, just use the volume control for that.

I('d wire in some lights or something and use the switch for that!
I would put it between the harness and the jack.
