Fender mini amp

I bought a fender mini amp a while back for $10.00. On the side it has a place for headphones. It has an output jack I guess thats what you call it as big as a input jack to plug your guitar into. My question is can I plug this into a bigger size speaker keeping within the 8 Ohm range. It has a 3" speaker now. Or maybe it's not worth the trouble. Please don't get all technical with answers because I won't know what the heck your talking about lol. Thank you for your time

  • yes yes yes do it you will be so happy you did. I am constangly harping on the speaker being the big falt of the mini amp i have my honey tone hooked to a 10" speaker right now and love it.
  • The output jack is normally set up to allow connection to another amp or a professional-type speaker cabinet that takes 1/4" jacks. Should be no problem running another speaker; you can wire up a female 1/4" jack or just hard-wire a cable.
