I thought it might be worthwhile to start a 'Missing-In-Action' discussion - in an effort to try and locate some of the CBG folks who never seemed to show up here at 'the nation'. Because we NEVER leave a man behind!
First up . . . . Jim 'Frets' Farris. Anybody know what's happened to Jim?
You need to be a member of Cigar Box Nation to add comments!
Two of my favorite CBGers, Sam . . . . the nation ain't the same without 'em. Please pass along some warm regards if you get the opportunity.

I've been talking to Jim "Frets" all along... He's been dealing with health issues and other stuff. He said to tell folks he's OK, but just haven't gotten to the shop in some time.
Best Wishes Jim...
I've seen Ron a couple times in the past 6 months, he lives close to my daughters in Springfield MO. He lost in companion dog of many years this spring and also had a close encounter with a tornado. Torn up his homestead in the Ozarks pretty good, but he's still there and doing OK... I traded him a strummer for some of his "modern art" headstock necks... now I'm looking for the right project to use them on...
He's a great guy and still one of the best mountain pickers for my money....

yeah...you are right...i have been MIA...but thanks to Dr. Oakroot and a re-viewing of Songs Inside the Box...i'm here today LOL life has just been complex and full of distractions and clutter for the last year and a half...hasn't completely settled down yet, but getting better :) been missing my CBG friends!!! like the new set up here...seems a bit more usable than yahoo
Before I get throwed into the MIA pool, I'd just like to say that I'm present...
The off-season ends with April and now I'm in spring training for the upcoming festival season which means, ahhhh, work, work, work... I've been going thru my my old song list one songb at a time and doing my annual spring tweaking... Last year I had only had my Lowebow for a month when festival season started and only worked a couple of songs up on it... This year is going to be different... Maybe 6 or 7 songs on the L-bow...
I'm maybe a coup,le days behind schedule but I'll be ready, drums and all, for my first festival which is the Earth Day Festival in Luray, Va. on April 25th...
