SO just for fun I thought I would make a Cereal Box Guitar out of the big boxes we get at BJ's, but I want to also wood grain the box. So by the time I buy wood graining tools, two colors of paint, acrylic glaze to add to the paints, paint brushes etc, looks like it is gonna cost me about 50 bucks for the box!.......should be fun though and I predict it will sound good too, it will be a chugger with a bass and melody string, prob fretless.
Anyone else tried this?

I made a one stringer out of a wine box a couple years ago, all out of cardboard, even the neck.

Way cool! Looks like a fun and innovative build!
Ah, but what cereal? A sugary one for fast playing, something high in fiber if you strain while you play, maybe granola if you play more new age stuff. Rice Krispies if your amp is going bad (snap, crackle, pop).
Of course it is organic granola, have you seen me?! Old hippy.
Have seen people use shoe boxes, that played and sounded good.
