I know how easy it is to miss stuff thats hidden in groups, so hope you dont mind this reminder.

The 4th Annual Uk Cigar Box Guitar Festival is just 11 days away!

The dates for your diary are Friday 7th & Saturday 8th September. This year we are in Manchester and its going to be huge!

For the Friday night we are at the Salutation, a cosy traditional Victorian drinking hole, where we'll be having a couple of pints, talking music, eating pies, enjoying (or partaking in?) the open mic, and, to round off, the legendary Hollowbelly will be playing some good old northern punk blues. Its going to be busy, so get there early - it all kicks off around 7.30pm.

Saturday sees us take over the infamous Band On The Wall, and we have a packed day planned for all the family. Guitar building workshops, cajon building sessions, masterclasses, trade stands, showcases, demonstrations, film, live performances... and 30+ real ales! (Please note - the bar will be closed until we've all finished playing with sharp tools...).

For the Saturday evening gig we have scoured the globe for the very best in alternative and cigar box artists. From the Uk, we have Babajack, recently nominated for two Britsh Blues Awards. From the Usa we have Mike Snowden, on his first visit to the Uk. We have Glaswegian Alt Blues hero Dave Arcari, and from the swamps of Finland, Blackriver Bluesman & Bad Mood Hudson.

Its going to be EPIC! Doors open 7.30pm.
