I had been toying with the idea of making and selling some sort of inexpensive gig bags for my customers that wanted something to carry their CBG in.I have had some ask if we offered something in that area.
After a lot of thought I realized that I CANT justify the time spent with the cost I'd have to charge to my customers ,,,,,,so,,,,,,, here's my question,
Are there any folks here that make something like the simple inexpensive bags made out of old blue jeans or something similar?
I would like to talk about stocking someone's gig bags for them and selling them out of our store here as an add on with their purchase.Since we offer Honeytone amps, clip on pickups etc for customers that can afford these things ,some of our customers might want an inexpensive gig bag to make their cbg shopping experience all inclusive.
I'm thinking somebody here may enjoy doing the sewing etc that needed to produce gig bags that compliment CBG's AND db's,I really cant see myself sitting down at a sewing machine and doing that myself,,,,
As it is, when I find some time to sit down and rest a bit ( like right now) I'm thinking that I'm wasting time I dont have and not producing stock,,,,,,
No wonder my doctor fusses that I dont take enough down time,,,,,
So if anybody has an idea they'd like to produce something like this, and produce it at a cost that folks in this market can afford, gimmie a holler,,,
I'm thinking something like blue jeans with 1 leg cut off, velcro strips to close it up. quick ,simple to make and sell for a  tickle of profit,,,,,most for you a slivver for me. lol
 ANy ideas? guys, gals?
This market ( moneywise) cant afford the very nice wood box type of cases, thats why I was thinking gig bag/bluejeans or something like that.
It has to be an affordable IMPULSE buy type thing,,,,,,,

  • Hi Roger! I've started making gig bags using cargo pants(lots of pockets) and denim as well. Keni Lee did a video for me and I've just started listing them on Ebay.   Willy
  • I've heard of folks using paintball gun bags for CBGs. If you can buy wholesale, sell retail, you could make a bit more on the sale. Maybe even offset some of those comps ;-)
  • Just an idea but, you come up with a simple design. Put it on paper with instructions. Give the design away with each purchase of a CBG. That way they can have a part in the style and the look of their bag. Give it there own personnel touch. You might even make one or two yourself for display.
