I purchased a CBG resonator kit from back porch mojo aprox 2 months ago. At first they were really helpful and responded to my emails straight away.
That was until I paid, then communication seemed to stop. After a couple of emails asking if my kit had been shipped I received a reply saying that Darren's wife should have posted it the day before.
It had been around six weeks since the item was supposedly posted (to the uk) I know this is not a tremendous amount of time but for my own piece of mind I have been attempting to contact them for over TWO weeks with no reply from them for a tracking number so that I can locate the kit. I have constantly tried the two different email addresses that I have for them but to no avail.
Whats going on?? Has something terrible happened at their end? or have I as I am starting to feel, been ripped off????
I have even emailed them saying that I will notify paypal if I dont hear off them soon but still nothing.
Has any one else experienced this type of thing from them? I truely thought that they were a reputable company!

On his youtube channel, it looks like he just finished up and shipped a three string resonator to Keni Lee Burgess. So maybe he is trying to work his way down his list and get things finished out for people.

Jonny, Timbo, or Sam.... have any of you heard from Darren yet?
I like the guy. I hope he's working to make all this right.
He made at least one comment on youtube today, so I'm hoping that's a sign that he's back on track and contacting you guys.It is my understanding Darren and backporchmojo are no longer in business.
I am not financially associated with him or his business.
I simply promoted his CBGs in return for him providing me with instruments to play.
For many years, he has built CBGs for customers and the responses were all positive.
Recently, he ran a series of KLB Signature model CBGs that were build and then sold on ebay.
These CBGs were sold with no problems.
It has been my position that Darren's past business dealings were conduced in a professional manner.
I am at a lose to understand the full scope of this current situation.
I would recommend to anyone who has a dispute, to seek the correct channels.
Contact ebay, paypal, etc.
I can empathise with your situation and hope this can all be resolved soon.
Thank you for your consideration.
I'm a little stunned by these reports. I have done business with Darren in the past and was satisfied with the transactions. They took place in a timely manner and I was happy with the parts I received. I have never bought an instrument from him, but the parts I ordered were good parts and came quickly.
I hope this works out for everyone and that all problems are eventually addressed and taken care of.

Wow! What a disappointment. I understand being busy, swamped, and even overwhelmed........ but I don't understand this.
Even if Darren has been away home for 4-6 weeks, most truck stops have an internet kiosk. Many hotels have a guest accessible, internet connected, computer. There are ways to make contact at the very least.
I've always been impressed with Darren's work and attitude. I can't see a viable excuse that will save that reputation in my book.
Much sympathy for those on the wrong end of this.
Jonny,
I don't know what to say at this point. I'm in a similar position. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this from a guy I thought I knew. I'll continue to try to contact him, but haven't heard from him for 4 weeks? l've lost track of time with convolusing/retirement/moving stuff.
the best,
Sam

Jonny,
thanks for the update. If anyone else is having trouble, just keep emailing Darren (once a week?). I'm sure he'll get to you as soon as he can.
