i think we may be on the wrong thread but if we're talking about the dylan2 collection the breadth of styles
is pretty wide. we go from primal to rock and everything inbetween - all played on homemade stuff, which is the best thing for me.
i record the same way as matt but use different pc software, some guys just do it live into a camera and others use a more pro setup but the sound quality was pretty decent on all the tracks straight off the shelf, only requiring levelling to get an overall volume.
and thanks to silent jim for once again donning the boiler suit and helping out behind the scenes. i'll add an additional download link soon so please share it around and get the handmade music out:)
Silent Jim thanks for the kind words on my track. I appreciate the words. I also happen to think your song is one of the best up here as well, of course I really like this collection. Everyone involved is to be congratulated. I have probably played it 12 times so far.
Mr. C I love your track it is awesome!!
So I feel way behind in this whole recording thing. I just turn on my mic and record it into a cheap 4 track that gets it into my computer. I mix with acidpro 7 using a couple things to make it sound as live as possible. Not much by way of multi tracking. I usually am happy if it sort of sounds like what I sound like playing in my living room.
it's a free world mate....
Finnaly been able to download and listen to it; all songs are so great !! awesome work all and thanks Merle and Silent Jim for gathered us in another exciting album
