Meeting #15 will be Saturday Feb 4, 2017 at 11:00am at Taxco Mexican Grill [Mint Hill location], 7106 Brighton Park Dr., Mint Hill, NC. It's across the parking lot from the Harris Teeter. We will continue having a monthly meeting on the first Saturday of each month.
Our purpose is to help members build and play the 12-bar Blues on their 3-string, fret-less, electric, box guitars. We currently have 18 on our email list.
Bring a few of your projects for show and tell. We will organize a sing and jam of our "Counting Song" for a basic 12-bar slow blues in the key of "G". We will simply count the beat out loud, 1 2 3 4, as we play. A very basic beginner will be able to participate. This will be a very simple but extremely valuable counting and timing exercise for all levels. Playing as little as you want or as much as you're able will work fine for everyone. Everyone bring a guitar & amp or other instrument.

That's awesome Uncle Fred, keep it rolling, I'll drop in every once and a while to share meets and swap ideas.
Thanks for asking about us. We have 14 on the email list. 4 attended today with one of the regulars out sick. We talked about building issues and location and mounting piezo pickups. Show and tell included 3 new guitars and an amp. We had a demo of a Ditto II Looper showing timing is everything. Since we all are beginners, we counted out loud as we jammed to a 12 bar melody with each playing whatever they could. It sounded good and we all pretty much stayed in count. This is an excellent exercise. Our venue, Taxco Mexican, serves good food. We all enjoyed lunch. We plan to meet at Taxco the 1st Saturday of each month.
This would have worked, coming by to see you folks back when I drove a rig over the road. Did that for 15yrs all 48 & Canada. So whats new with you folks? I'll share our last meeting here in St. Louis MO. I worked out 2 great CBG swaps and 1 bundle of hardwood for a very cool Vintage Cow calming remedy 1 GAL can. We jammed most the time and stayed for smoked chicken wings when the kitchen opened up! Hope you folks have a good meeting. SD
