The Vecht valley, a unique tourist and nature area along the Vecht river and -delta in the east of Holland, will have a new attraction: the 1st Dutch National Cigarbox Festival!

This event will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 6th, 2014.

Bo Hudson ( from Cigarbox band Bacon Fat louis) and Cigarbox Henri ( from Cigarbox Henri & Friends ), both one of only a few Cigarbox guitar builders and          -players in north and eastern Netherlands, are the organizers of this brand new and for Holland unique event .

The 1^st Dutch National  Cigarbox  Festival will take place at cafe Calluna, which has the style and the mix of an American Roadhouse and bikers cafe. This cafe is situated on the beautiful and rustic countryside of the Vecht valley and laying in-between the villages Dalfsen and  Ommen. In the owners of the café, Bo and Henri have found  very enthusiastic partners for this festival.

Why a Cigarbox festival, there are so many festivals? The two organizers think that especially in this time of crisis, it is time for a first Dutch Cigarbox festival . Expensive times call for cheap instruments is their slogun.  From playing blues to hard rock, it 's all possible with the versatile but still ”unknown” Cigarbox guitar!  Also, the two organizers believe that this is a beautiful, very unique and cultural boost for the Vecht valley.

The festival that starts at 15:00h (GMT +1) will be free accessible, with lots of entertainment also for small kids. The program with various (international ) cigarbox- and jugband live acts is almost setteled. A cozy market square will be decorated with stands for workshops, diverse exhibitors, jewelry, T-shirts, American life style products, American food and beverage etc. More information about the complete program will follow asap .
