r.e. testbed...

Build stronger than I did. Make the base plate 2x4 or 6 and use 1x4 for the butt piece, headstock, and 'fretboard area'. No dado-ing that way. Glue and screw. I think the basic design works.

My copy of that (it may not be a baritone) is gonna be a hybrid, wood and aluminum. I have 2 VERY dense and hard mahogany shelves to use for tonewood, but the bottom will be maybe birch or something. Not wasting a great top.

That vid is the reason I'm building a baritone. That vid blew my mind. I've had comm with that guy, very nice and helpful.
