Finally, here is the 2018 cookie tin resonator. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Derek and Dave, yes I agree with you Dave on the action, funny how that subtle difference can change a few things.
I listened again. I lot of sound you got out of a small tin. I like your technique too Lonman. Nice vibrato and bending. I think the action is a tad high at the nut. Sounds out of tune on the first and second frets. It’s fine by the fifth frets or higher. That’s my ear anyhow. If the action is high at the nut fingering the low frets will sound sharp.
Sounds good. Nice work
LOL, yea Uncle John, I have strings 2,3,4,5 from a 6 pack and initially I was trying to tune them for the jazzy f tuning I read from Shane, but then I was so 'not' focused that I just tuned the strings to their standard tuning, crazy as it seems, for me it worked out, but if I do not sell this build too soon I still want to go to that F tuning and also Houndog Taylor tuning. I learned myself to play using standard tuning, so it comes easier, but from CBN I learned about the open tunings.
Thanks Dave, UJ, and Slow Blues for the kind comments and thoughts. Below is a pic of the hammered portion. The hammered portion is a coffee tin bottom that I hammered and placed on top of the cookie tin lid. I was curious what would it sound like if I put the hammered one on top of the cookie tin lid. Not really sure if it mattered or not, but the springs I do like the extra sound I get from them. I can also tell you because of the hammered lid on top I ended up not able to use Gitty's wooden bridge. Even after I took of about 5-7mm off the 'legs' of the bridge. The action was so high, so I used a screw, which is fine, the action is still a little higher than I usually use for a fretted neck.
Great sounding guitar. Love the acoustic tone, your string bends and vibrato technique. Sounds great plugged in as well! Did you hammer the lid for extra resonance? Looks hand hammered and I've heard/read that helps though I've never done it myself.
Great job all round Mr Lonman!
You are looking and sounding good, Lon. I like that hammered lid too. Saw it in photos and liked it then. Standard tuning - middle 4 strings. Hmm. ADGB. Huh. I would have to rearrange my mind! Change is hard for this old fart. I suppose it would let you play in a lot of keys. Hmm. Or go open G, D or E. I like open G fours - GDGB. 2 finger C and D.
Nice build!
I like the hammered lid.
