Thanks gents for the comments, he's 11 years old, and got a good eye for aiming, he wants to be like that gamekeeper on youtube, guess he's got a long way to go yet! I made a matching pair of catapults out of antler horn, 9mm shell casings, goat skin and block elastic some years back, and they went on Ebay for £120 the pair to a  man and his daughter up in Cumbria near the borders of England and Scotland. I had some pics of them somewhere, THE CATAPULTS, NOT THE BUYERS! I'll try and look them out when I get the chance. Unfortunately just afterwards, my shed got broken into and all my stuff was stolen, so I kind of lost interest for a while after as you can guess, and never made any more! Yeah 'Oily', that diddley bow is a bit floppy, but I thought it would 'stretch me' as a musician.
