Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Steve.
Shane has put my CBG building article in the free plans section. I have "stolen your Piezo diagram" for it.

Please forgive me. BTW it works OK

Hey Steve...I like your detailed photos. They have cleared up a few things or me and have given me some ideas. Couple of questions..... When you have a box with a thin top, it looks like you are gluing the neck to the top, then when you close the box, the neck fits into the slots cut in the bottom. Is that what you are doing? Also, it looks like you are adding some bracing/support inside the box. Does that help with the stability and sound?

Went to Jaycar today and got a few of the pots. had a lesson in Logarithmic and arithmetic pots, chose the latter. BTW their prices are much cheaper than the luthiers site, but that was not why I went there, I was driving past with my wife!
Got into trouble for spending too much time there! :) (About time she waited for me instead of vice versa)

That looks just great thanks.

I am editing a video of funeral! But i hope to do some electronics and CBG stuff tomorrow.

Fully understandable.

Thank you very much.

Sorry that you have to hold my hand! I am clearly not Jennifer Hawkins! :)

So, there are three tabs on the pot. Which "two" do i use to connect up the Piezo.

I am using the same transducer as you are.
I am delayed in my building for two reasons. 1: is that i spent a lot of building time on the fret cutting machine!
The second, but more importantly my wife is recovering from a fractured skull and is dizzy and needs me to be around! We are a pair of old codgers, I am 73 and she is 78! So, mutual caring is the order of the day.

I am happy to have this chance to repay her for all she has done for me, having had two cancers/radiation/operations etc. Not a sympathy call as i am doing very very well indeed. Probably a survivor of both.

So, thank you for your help.

Should you want to contact me I am 02 49773041 and my email is brido@exemail.com.au

My electronic ignorance knows no bounds. I went into the electronics shop and asked for a "volume control". Well, the encyclopaedia that came forth made me leave without buying anything.

Please tell me what you are using for the Piezo volume control or what i have to buy!

Thanks.

Thanks, I am so electronically ignorant you cant believe it!. I often wonder what folks have got wired up in side!

Seems a good idea. I will probably copy the idea.
