Daniel-that's a gorgeous Uke!

Wade-it wasn't as time consuming as it looks as most of the work is already done for you...saw the handle off of one racket and use it to lengthen the handle of the other using a mortise-and-tenon joint, then add a 1/4x1.5" Oak lathing on top to strenghten the neck and an identical one of Poplar for the fretboard. Use the second racket to trace a soundboard and back out your favorite tonewood(birch in my case), then simply glue a handful of pre-cut pegs to first one racket and then the next...now you have a pre-made jig to wrap your maple veneer around, and if you use multiple layers and paint lightly with glue each time, you have Maple plywood without any steaming.

The Cookie tin is completely optional and really makes this tiny critter ring out-but just between us Luthier wannabees, the only reason I included it is I , um, ran completly out of birch during the build... :D
