John Prine cover - Speed of the Sound of Loneliness

Playing a 6 string guitar I made on this wonderful song by John Prine. Praying that he recovers and I thought of this song of his with so many of us being isolated at home.

Thanks much Rick! I've heard of a wheelhouse but the sound is muffles\d in this doghouse I'm in! This is one I have played for years. Loved Nancy Griffith's version too. Thx again!

Wonderful song Derek, excellent performance! Right on Andries, totally agree. I’ve spoke of wheelhouse ( no pun or wagon wheel reference indeeded  subconsciously ),  a few times lately, this is smack dab in the middle of yours. Sweet and heartfelt playing and singing.

My band is planning on meeting at a big park near Duluth and playing in a big circle. Battery amped so we can hear each other. Also we had our first Zoom meeting Tues. night. It was great to see each other and talk. The music was “gappy” but it has promise. i never even heard of it, but was able to get in the Meeting without too much difficulty. I just followed the prompts and walla, there was my band each in a box on the screen. It works folks, and it’s free. I guess I’ll be teaching drawing to kids stuck at home via Zoom through the Duluth Art Institute soon.

Hi Andries, thanks buddy! I am hoping he is getting healthier and beating this virus, he has over-come other serious health issues in the past and came back singing.
