Got an itch to build a Baritone Biscuit Tin Guitar a while ago and this weekend, not being particularly hungover, I decided to get it built.
I had an old Encore Lefty neck laying around so that was easy, I then decided on a suitable tin, which I had just emptied and then on the bridge and pickup. I left with a lefty Wilkinson Telecaster bridge and a rather hard to find Fender Lace Sensor Blue Telecaster bridge pickup (I have 2 others) both of which were also laying around.
Then it decided on the strings, I already have a 4 stringer, so I wanted something a little different so I went with a set of electric steel string 13's and took away the 13 gauge. I have it tuned to BEADG and it sounds great the Lace Tele Bridge. Plugged into my Fender Mustang, despite the standard 25.5 scale, getting good baritone and bass tones, lots of Country of course, and some blue blues from that Blue bridge.
and yes I know the bridge went on a bit askew, but those compensated saddles, live up the time and all plays properly.
