Quick test of Zoom Q2n - me singing an old song VS my husband chopping up stuff for dinner!I got this camera as an easy way to film new songs or do a busking video, without having up to plug in and set up a separate mic etc. The wide angled lense should be good for showing a lot of the surroundings when busking...I don't think the video quality is great, but pleased with the sound quality, which was pretty much what I was expecting from reviews I'd read.I can't remember what settings I used, except that I had the auto gain set to off and had the gain turned right up.SO a totally unprofessional test video! I'll try and do something in due course where I say what all the settings are...https://bemuzic.bandcamp.com/I'm playing a three string Cigar Box Guitar that I made. For more info about that guitar see this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVGWF...

  • Thanks Danny

  • AGP cool, yes I too need more experimenting...

  • awesome job

  • No B, haven't used it outside yet, but will at sometime to see what happens, have made a couple of Vids in my Music Cave where there is quite a big window and a lot of outside background light, played around a bit with the Scene settings and Auto seems to be the most successful for my situation, but will experiment further :-)

  • Thanks AGP # Yeah I think my phone does better video, but the sound is rubbish. I haven't filmed outside yet, have you? Maybe it'll be better with more light...

  • Nice to see you performing again B, I trust Hubbies cooking up a storm for you, I too recently purchased, and have been using a Zoom Q2n, and agree with the comments about the Video quality not being great, I just thought I was doing something wrong!, but your right about the Sound quality, and I also turn the Auto Gain off and the turn the Gain Wheel up to full, also can't remember the settings I use most of the time, so have taken to writing them down  :-)

  • Thanks Dave

  • ah, Bob I see what you mean. I thought you meant you'd done another out in the real world, lol!

  • Great to see and hear you again Bee. Chops notwithstanding.

  • Thanks Belinda. I should have been a little more specific - my 1st "OM" was at the Boxstock. I only did 1 song and it was a busy day with plenty going off. I hope we have another one.
