I've been wanting to do a reso and have had the Lowe cone for a while. I made the cover from 0.040" brass sheet stock. The biscuit is walnut. The neck is poplar, with Early American stain. The French polish job makes it look like Tiger's Eye; the chatoyancy is a cool effect I tried to capture in the pictures but it needs to be seen in real life. The headstock has a walnut veneer. This CBG has a full, robust sound, not at all tinny.Once again, the wonderfully talented Steve Haberichter from Down Home Guitars plays a little. The CBG is acoustic only in this clip. Don't need an amp when it sounds like this. As far as video quality - If VanGogh had worked in video instead of oil...you might get this impression:
